What are you shooting with?

Canon Mark IV, Canon Mark 5D RS , Canon 5Ds

Have you ever been around other photographers? You are there, some experienced some pro or semi pro, and you’re all waiting for the event to start up.

Well during the waiting time, I network with other photographers and get some feed back, and tips, or ask about lighting and their settings for exposure and white balance, something to gage with and test while I am also setting up. Others are conversing about their cameras, or future cameras they will purchase next.

Never, during the conversations I hear something educational come out of their mouths. They sit around comparing cameras, like if they are looking under the hood of a Chevy Nova, or a classic Hot Rod Camaro. It could be intimidating for a upcoming photographer that is shooting with a novice piece of equipment, but they may be getting the shots and practice they need for that next best shot.

They fail to identify with the fact that it is not the camera that make the grey image, but the eyes and skill of the photographer that tells the picture. Everyone is trying to impress one another with gear, but may not know about their gear.  Funny but I though I would share this small fact with others.
